ADVANCE NOTICE –

REAL LIVES 2016 is a series of events with Roger Carswell, who will chat with a number of people about how their faith has transformed their lives. It is being hosted by the churches of Mottram and Hattersley. It takes place Wed 28th Sept to Sun 2nd Oct 2016.

Just to let you know that Jim Solomon joined us here at Top Chapel at the beginning of September as new Lead Elder. Stephen Hartle  stepped down from the post at the end of August but he and Adj Hall remain on the eldership team. More details to follow.

This weekend, 11th July 2015, the villages of Charlesworth and Chisworth celebrated the annual Carnival. We get involved. It’s a great opportunity to share fun with the villagers and to give out pens and pencils with a message. We also gave away over a hundred children’s books telling the story of Jonah. On Sunday 12th July 2015, we held a Christians Together Service at Top Chapel. Eddie Inglis (Pastor of Dukinfield Congregational Church) spoke and had us in stitches as he explained the message: God knows the end from the beginning. However painful and dysfunctional life is, God is in control, so trust Him – a serious message told in a easily understood way. Thanks Eddie. The Carnival Queens and attendants joined us, read the passages from the Bible for us and helped Eddie with his talk. Thanks girls.
